Code Purple: Day Eight

The pressure
of being
can never match
the will
to overcome–

I have stood
before countless faces
to raise testimony
for every woman
left bleeding,
for every child
lost to fear,
for every man
who faced it
in silence and shame.

Stand beside me
and testify to the world
your will
to overcome.
