DVAM Code-Purple: Day Twenty Two

Walking with fins and duty
for a reasonable day
whose hours never end–
a prayer, a mandatory folding over the edge,
whose fair so hardly is just,
and though always open,
is free to assimilate, alienate, and disassemble
the means to which there is no end,
only oblivious rhetoric and discordance
whose sharps and flats denounce
all hierarchy of reason,
leaving no more than the sputtering mumble
of a catatonic mind
lost between the creases of paper
and the scent of your skin
and the pull of wish and want for blood.
