DVAM Code-Purple: Day Nine

I have accepted the longer hours and the shorter rest,
But it is our son who suffers the worst.
He dreams of you,
He fears you,
But in waking
He only speaks of love.

He cannot wrestle your demons,
A child too young
To recognize his own.
Can you not release him
Into safer arms,
Without holding innocence captive?
He is yours, no matter.
Show him that you deserve him.
